Master SHIO DI

Master SHIO DI , LING was born in Mei-Nong Kaohsiung in 1938.
She started to make paper umbrellas at about 40 years old .
She learned painting from FENG CHENG , LIO in 1998 .
She has painted paper umbrellas for 20 years .
Master LIN not only can make paper umbrellas but also can paint . That is , she is a versatile artist .
Especially , she specializes in cutting the bamboos to be the frames of the paper umbrellas , gluing paper on the umbrellas , brushing Tung-oil on the umbrellas and combining them . Her famous art pictures are peonies , plum blossoms , and wisterias .
